The day before we boarded the Norwegian Viva in Ravenna, Italy, for a nine-night Mediterranean cruise in October 2024, we arrived in the city on a train from Venice. With an even free for activities, we decided to book a tour of Ravenna and set out on foot from our hotel to have dinner in the area where the tour would begin. On the way to the restaurant, we came across one of the old towers in the city that was leaning quite dramatically. We’d seen news reports of these leaning towers in Italy in the years leading up to the cruise, so it was pretty interesting to see one up close.

What would become our home away from home for NINE nights during a Mediterranean cruise in October 2024 is the stateroom tour for balcony stateroom 14178 on deck 14, port side of the Norwegian Viva! This is a very well-designed layout with some excellent features that we really enjoyed during our cruise.
