After watching the sailaway from Port Canaveral, Florida, for the Allure of the Seas in January 2024, we went back inside the ship to wander around a little more before eventually heading back to the stateroom to get ready for dinner. Spectacular Departure: Allure Of The Seas From Port Canaveral, Florida
From the top deck of the Allure of the Seas, our January 2024 four-night cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida, to the Bahamas was underway. In episode 20 of the vlog from the cruise, we found a great spot on the railing where we could watch the Ocean Aria practice in the Aqua Theater below us while also viewing Port Canaveral as the ship dropped the lines and headed for the Atlantic Ocean.

After two other ships departed before us, it was finally time for the Allure of the Seas to embark from Cruise Terminal 1 at Port Canaveral, Florida, and head out to the open Atlantic Ocean. On this beautiful day in January 2024, with many cruise ships docked in Port Canaveral, Florida, we wondered who would leave first as we surveyed the port from the top deck of the Allure of the Seas. Sure enough, the Carnival Freedom began to back out and turn around in the turning basin a little farther down from us in the port.

As the passengers were boarding, they checked with crew members on where to do the muster drill, how to connect to the Wi-Fi and a host of other cruise-related activities.

Each morning during our 4-night cruise on the Allure of the Seas in January 2024, a visit to the standalone Starbucks kiosk on the Royal Promenade was how we started our day. Their display of coffee cups was so enticing that I ended up purchasing one toward the end of the cruise.

It had been a full ten years since the last time we were on this ship, but the layout was still the same.

As our Allure of the Seas cruise in January 2024 was approaching, we kept trying to book the Ocean Aria show in the Aqua Theater in the pre-cruise planner on the Royal Caribbean website, but it showed as unavailable.
